The Ministerial Formation Portfolio
An important part of the formation process at St Michael's is the building of a Ministerial Formation Portfolio. This is based either on the learning outcomes for ministerial formation agreed by the Church of England and Church in Wales, or the similar outcomes agreed by the Methodist Church. As well as bringing together evidence of learning from the academic and practical dimensions of training, the portfolio provides opportunities for reflection with a personal tutor on important areas such as spirituality, personality and character. It also allows people to bring past learning and experience to bear explicitly on the ongoing process of ministerial formation.
