Official Commencement of the Contract
A small ceremony to mark the commencement of the contract with Andrew Scott was held at 2.45pm on Wednesday 23rd June. Archbishop Barry Morgan, Chair of the Trustees, carried out a ceremonial removal of the initial stones in preparation for work to begin. Also in attendance were Mike Grindle, Managing Director of Andrew Scott and Michelle Davies, Business Development Manager of Andrew Scott, members of the design team, Trustees, staff, students and friends of St Michael's College.
From College to Construction Site

The site offices of the main contractor Andrew Scott arrived on Monday 14th June followed at the end of the week by the clearance of the accommodation block.
The college is now designated a construction site and safe walkways for those entering and leaving the buildings have been established and large parts of the site are now off-limits. The project manager Bob Garn emphasised to staff that the safety procedures in force are to protect the staff and visitors to the site.
