Icon Painting Weekend14th – 16th May 2010
Our annual Icon painting weekend was held in May. Fifteen people were taught this fascinating discipline of prayer by Helen McIldowie-Jenkins a talented professional Icon painter who is based in London. Over the two and a half days we completed the whole process and produced an Icon of St Seraphim of Savro, a much loved Russian saint. It was indeed exciting to see fifteen images of the saint all individually inspiring even though we had followed a prescribed set of rules and guidelines throughout the weekend. So here’s to May 2011!
