Courses & training

St Michael's is an all party theological college serving the Anglican and Methodist Churches and the work of chaplaincy in partnership with Cardiff University.

Courses and training are offered in five distinct areas.

  • Residential Training

    Training for ordained ministry in the Church in Wales, Church of England and the Methodist Church.

  • Non-residential Training

    Part-time training for ordained ministry or to become readers.

  • Chaplaincy Studies

    Supporting chaplains' education and professional development through study, research and consultancy.

  • IME & CME

    Continuing professional development and pre- and post-ordination training of Church in Wales clergy.

  • Further Study

    A range of options to explore theology further through study, research and reflection.

  • Exploring Your Calling

    If you would like to know more about Christian ministry, we run a course “Who, me Lord?” to give you a taste of study in a College setting.
