Conference and Catering

Situated in tranquil Llandaff yet just 10 minutes from Cardiff's vibrant city centre, St Michael's College blends modern facilities with a unique reflective atmosphere. With easy access from the M4 motorway and on-site parking, St Michael's is perfect for meetings, day conferences, workshops, Alpha courses and training sessions - indeed any gathering in which participants will benefit if they are away from the distractions of a busy world.

Following an extensive £1.1 million refurbishment during 2010, St Michael's now offers en-suite accommodation on a bed and breakfast or fully catered basis, and has conference and study facilities that more than meet the needs of the 21st Century. Five distinctive meeting rooms are available to accommodate up to 60 people in a comfortable environment. The full spectrum of equipment is available whether you require DVD, CD or video players, data projectors, overhead projectors, TV or flip charts. Top quality, home-cooked food ensures every taste is catered for - from tea and Welsh cakes to a range of buffets, a light lunch or a three-course meal.

A particularly unique feature is that groups may also book the use of the Chapel - built in the 1950s by the architect George Pace - or visit the adjacent Llandaff Cathedral with Jacob Epstein's striking 'Christ in Majesty' (the Majestas).

Recent Feedback

"Staff went the extra mile to accommodate and seemed very happy to do it – I really appreciate feeling like I'm at home!"

Gary Millar, MTh Chaplaincy Course

"This was the first time we held our training course at St Michael's College, and we were extremely satisfied with all the facilities offered. The staff were so kind, and ever-willing to help and facilitate in any way possible. We all thought that the catering was exceptional, just like the best home-cooking.

The teaching equipment and accommodation provided by the conference rooms were of a very high standard and entirely appropriate. Our tutors felt that the students' needs and learning experience were thus enhanced."

Joanne Hanson, ‘Making the Most of your Voice' (singing workshop).
